Concept Design  -  Lighting Design

The idea of enabling users to communicate with a lighting device through their natural behaviour could permit a unique relationship between a person and the light object. "Crystal", is a lamp whose transposing roles could allow users the flexibility of deciding where a luminaire should be as well as what it should be.

It could be a pendant over the dining table,

or a reading lamp when you want to sprawl on the floor with a book,

or then a little ambience you want to take with you to the patio!

A little detail in the wire makes it easy to explore different variations in the space.

Crystal is a set of four lamps fixed to retractable reels of wire. The wire has a small detail for securing the lamp to a hook or any other fastening. Each lamp emits diffused as well as focussed light from the faceted surfaces, which are placed such that all four lamps complete a pendant whilst inspiring endless play with combinations of light emitting surfaces.
